I'm Gone Sendin' to Outer Space

So the Wood Elf Orcs were apparently a real burn-out for me. I didnt' even get around to finishing my tournament report for Rockhammer. I ended up in the top half of the field, which is pretty good considering I'd never used the army before! More excitingly, I took away best army. I've played a few games since, but I'm also looking at getting into new games that are a bit easier on the hip pocket and my time budget; X-Wing and Firestorm Armada. I'm also running a Warhammer tournament at This is War! next year; a miniatures event for Melbourne.

Finally Complete!

Wow- it's been over 2goblirs, but my Wood Elf Orcs are done. 3000 points completed. That means I can bust them out on the weekend for Rockhammer!

This week I've been working hard to get my Wood Elf Orc army done in time for Rockhammer. I think I've reached the point where I am confident that I can make it there. I have even challenged Dave O'War Duriesmith to a grudge match, as he's bringing his Wood Elves that I know will look nice, so I'm hoping we can have a bit of a supermodel Vs Drag Queen match. Anyway, I plan to discuss the event more afterwards, right now here are some photos of what I've done this week:

Liebsters 2014

My blog won an award! Perhaps if I state it like that, it will sound like more of an accomplishment... Still, it's nice to be thought of, and it's a cool idea to try and promote other people's work. I'm now supposed to answer 11 questions, then nominate 11 further blogs for an award. I believe the blog is capped at 200 followers, so it's only small scale stuff. This week has seen my Wood Elf Orcs reach a point where I only need to put brush to model to finish (OK, a bit of glue for effect afterwards, but that's not modelling). A few snaps to fill you in on my progress towards Rockhamer:

Orcarus and Dorkaerus

Rockhammer lists are due tonight. At the time of writing, there are only two people paid up. I'm one of them. I think this has something to do with the fact that Face/Off is next week, and it's the biggest tournament Victoria has seen in a while. I'm not going to that; too time poor. Anyway, I need to submit my list tonight it seems. That means I'm committing to getting my army done in three weeks! Where am I so far?

I'm making progress on the orcs, but things crop up and I don't know if they'll be done by Rock Hammer. Not really an issue; I'm quite excited to play with my Ogres, but it'd be exciting to finish the army too.
